In my work as a psychologist, I am passionate about helping people better understand themselves and the experiences that have shaped them. I have a particular interest in psychological assessment and evaluation and value the opportunity to help individuals gain greater clarity about their experiences and functioning.
I see assessment as an opportunity to listen carefully to a person’s story and help answer questions that may have remained unclear. My approach is comprehensive and individualized, typically integrating interviews, psychological measures, history, and other relevant information to develop a meaningful understanding of each person. Assessment should provide useful information to inform treatment and decision-making, while curiosity, compassion, and respect for the individual remain at the center of the process. I believe individuals are more than their symptoms or challenges, and that understanding their strengths is an important part of meaningful assessment.
Ultimately, understanding the person behind the test results or in the therapy room is essential to meaningful evaluation and treatment. I welcome the opportunity to work with individuals seeking greater understanding of themselves and their experiences.
