My passion is counseling young children (ages 0-10) facing life challenges. I provide a supportive therapeutic space, where children explore feelings, build resilience, and develop tools to succeed, while families collaborate. Children’s creativity, observant nature, and perseverance inspire me.
As a Certified Theraplay Practitioner, I use play therapy techniques and Theraplay activities to address children’s emotional and behavioral needs in developmentally appropriate settings. Through play, children naturally communicate emotions and experiences, enhance emotional regulation, and improve coping skills.
With over 20 years of clinical counseling experience, I am a Licensed Professional Counselor–Mental Health in South Dakota and a Certified Theraplay® Practitioner. I am seeking privileges to practice under the National Counseling Compact. Professional development includes numerous child trainings. I enjoy partnering with early childhood providers, drawing on my Bachelor’s in Child Development. Teaching students, mentoring professionals, and delivering presentations are additional pursuits. I look forward to working with you and your child, providing professional guidance and individualized support to help them thrive.
