Marriage and Family Therapy became a passion for me while working in eastern Europe with orphans – I saw the need for family care and its impact on the community. Recently I’ve gained increased knowledge and interest in working with women with a focus for women’s mental health through all life stages/cultural experiences and those struggling with hormonal/fertility issues.
The philosophy behind my approach to care is that YOU ARE A WHOLE PERSON – you are worthwhile and deserve care that is unique to you! You have the freedom and safety to show up as yourself and work towards goals that meet your needs as they arise within the big picture of you/your life experiences. It is a privilege to be invited into your life!
I enjoy providing help utilizing talk therapies that aid you in understanding emotions/meaning, including narrative work and building of your life/trauma/grief stories, emotionally-focused therapy as an individual/couple/family, motivational interviewing, cognitive-behavioral therapy, and solution-focused therapy. Along with this, I utilize several body-focused emotional processing techniques and work to always honor your unique cultural/social/sexual/religious identity and beliefs. I look forward to meeting you!
