I was attracted to the role of professional counselor for three key reasons. I saw the increased need for qualified, effective counseling in the local communities; I value seeing others grow and enjoy life fully, and I feel I have been gifted with qualities that support helping others. I enjoy seeing others understand how patterns of living have caused them distress and how they can change those patterns over time.
Because my philosophy as a counselor is that we can continue to learn and grow our entire lives, I offer treatment that is person-centered, solution-focused, and includes CBT treatment. Life experiences are unique to the individual, and treatment needs to be uniquely tailored to each person.
I have extensive experience in the treatment of depression, anxiety, OCD, and PTSD. I am trained in prolonged exposure therapy to address trauma and PTSD symptoms. I am trained as a Licensed Addiction Counselor, and I am prepared to address concerns in all areas of addiction.
